Ladbrokes shares its Premier League acca and predictions ahead of this weekend’s fixtures, with wins for Brighton, Man United & Man City. You can back our acca, at the time of writing, with odds of 7.44/1.
While the Carabao Cup final is the main event on Sunday, Premier League football still continues, with Arsenal, Everton, Newcastle and others all in action.
On Saturday evening, Newcastle travel to London to face an in-form Arsenal side who have scored 11 goals in their last two league games, and we’re going for a win for the Gunners.
For the first leg of our Premier League acca, we travel to Birmingham for Aston Villa’s game against Nottingham Forest, where we’re going for a win for Unai Emery’s side.
Several key players are injured for Villa, including Boubacar Kamara, Diego Carlos and Tyrone Mings, but they should still have enough to beat a Forest side who haven’t really improved all that much since Nuno Espirito Santo replaced Steve Cooper.
The game won’t be easy, we aren’t saying that, but we’re predicting a win for Villa, with odds of 8/15.
If results don’t turn around for Everton, the Toffees are in real trouble of getting relegated this year, especially with the looming threat of another potential points deduction for breaking the Premier League’s financial rules for a second time.
Sean Dyche’s side need to start picking up wins, but we aren’t expecting that to happen this weekend, as they face an in-form Brighton side who beat Sheffield United 5-0 in an emphatic win on Sunday last week.
With odds of 5/6, the second-leg of our Premier League acca has Brighton beating Everton, with things starting to get quite tetchy for Dominic Calvert Lewin and co.
Man United are unbeaten in 2024, and are coming off the back of a 2-1 win at Kenilworth Road against Luton. Erik ten Hag’s side weren’t great in the game, but they got the job done, and that’s all you can ask for.
We’re predicting their unbeaten run to continue this weekend, with the third-leg of our Premier League being for Man United to beat Fulham at Old Trafford, with odds of 8/15.
Despite a key injury to Luke Shaw, who is vital to the way United build up from the back, the Red Devils really do have enough quality up top, with Rasmus Hojlund scoring goals for fun at the moment, to beat Fulham this weekend.
The gap between second-placed Man City and first-placed Liverpool is four points, going into this weekend, but we’re expecting it to close to just one by the time this week comes to an end.
Liverpool beat Luton 4-1 to extend their lead at the top of the Premier League this week, and Man City will be hoping to respond by winning their game in hand, which comes against Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium.
Bournemouth are a decent side, and have played well over the last few months, but coming up against an in-form Man City side will likely be too much for them. So, with odds of 2/5, we’re going with a win for Pep Guardiola’s side in the penultimate leg of our Premier League acca.
Also at 2/5 is for Arsenal to beat Newcastle at the Emirates Stadium, which makes up the final leg of our Premier League acca this weekend.
In the reverse fixture in Newcastle, Arsenal lost 1-0, with many fans unhappy with a controversial goal scored by ex-Everton winger Anthony Gordon. The loss was difficult to take for many of the Gunners’ faithful, but we’re predicting things to go differently for them on Saturday evening.
Arsenal are in top form right now, having beaten Liverpool, West Ham and Burnley in their last three league games, scoring 14 goals and conceding just one in the process. That run should continue this weekend, so we’re predicting them to beat Newcastle.
You can back Ladbrokes’ Premier League acca, at the time of writing, with odds of 186/25 (7.44/1).
