Men's PGA world rankings: Who is world No1?

1. Scottie Scheffler

Scottie Scheffler maintains his position at the top with a dominant average of 14.07 points. His consistent performances, including a gold medal at the 2024 Olympics and multiple PGA Tour victories, underscore his status as the world's leading golfer. ​

The American failed to defend his Masters title this year but is joint favourite to win the PGA Championship in May.

2. Rory McIlroy

McIlroy holds the second spot with an average of 9.88 points.

His recent triumph at the Masters completed his Career Grand Slam, and he has now set his sights on The Open at Royal Portrush, aiming to secure a second Claret Jug.

3. Xander Shauffele

With an average of 7.78 points, Xander Schauffele remains a formidable presence in the top three. His victory at the 2024 Open Championship at Royal Troon solidified his reputation as a major contender.

The American is currently the nearest outsider to McIlroy and Scheffler to take home the Claret Jug at Royal Portrush.

Collin Morikawa has climbed to fourth place with an average of 6.61 points.

His consistent top-10 finishes and a runner-up position at the 2024 Tour Championship highlight his steady form as he seeks a third Major title in 2025.

Ludwig Aberg, with an average of 5.70 points, continues to impress in his early professional career.

The Swedish sensation's three runner-up finishes in 2024, including at the Masters, have demonstrated his potential to break through with a Major victory this year and the 25-year-old's top-10 finish at The Masters show he is set to remain a contender.

Aberg's strong form bodes well for Team Europe's hopes of defending the Ryder Cup at Bethpage Black in Farmingdale, New York in September.
