Florian Wirtz next club odds: Bayern Munich to beat Man City

Despite Man City being heavily linked, the latest Florian Wirtz next club odds released by Ladbrokes suggest that Bayern Munich are most likely to win the race.

Wirtz is one of the best players in the Bundesliga, popping up with just shy of 30 goals and assists in the league and Champions League this season for Bayer Leverkusen.

The young midfielder has been so impressive that Leverkusen have given him a £100m asking price, aiming to warn off suitors from the Premier League and the rest of Europe.

Kevin De Bruyne is on his way out of Man City, with a move to MLS deemed the most likely, Pep Guardiola is in the market for a new advanced midfielder, and several names are reportedly under consideration.

As well as Morgan Gibbs-White, it's been reported that City are very keen to sign Wirtz this summer, and are willing to battle it out with Liverpool and Arsenal for his signature.

City are in the running, as the latest odds suggest, but they aren't the favourites in the eyes of the bookies for Wirtz's signature this summer.

Bayern Munich are, without a doubt, the favourites in the eyes of the bookies to sign Wirtz this summer, marking another occasion where the German giants buy the best players from within the Bundesliga.

City are second in the race though, tied with Real Madrid, but both sides are seen to be at a disadvantage at this stage of the Wirtz saga compared to Munich.

What could change things though is the fact that Xabi Alonso, Wirtz's current Leverkusen manager, is rumoured to be heading to Madrid when Carlo Ancelotti leaves his post as manager at the end of the season to become Brazil's head coach.

If Alonso does move to Real Madrid, as is expected, then perhaps a move to the Spanish captial to reunite with his former manager becomes more appealing to Wirtz.

However, as of right now, Bayern are heavy favourites in the race for the talented attacker, while the likes of Liverpool, Chelsea and Arsenal are no more than serious long shots.

Also in the conversation are Champions League finalists Inter Milan and semi-finalists PSG, but both clubs are seen to have nothing more than a very slim chance of signing the attacker this summer.

As for other transfer odds from Ladbrokes, Milos Kerkez is tipped to be on his way to Liverpool, as is Alexander Isak, with Arsenal leading the race to sign Vikor Gyokeres.
