Federico Chiesa next club odds: Italy return expected for Liverpool winger
Published:
Despite only joining Liverpool last summer, the latest odds on Federico Chiesa's next club suggest that a return to Italy could well be on the cards for the player.
The Italian was signed as a 'market opportunity' by the Reds as Arne Slot's only addition after becoming manager, with the Italian's place in the Juventus squad and low price being attractive to Liverpool's recruitment team.
However, despite winning the Premier League in his first season in England, Chiesa has only played five times in England's top-flight, and a season plagued with injuries could end with a transfer back to Italy.

Federico Chiesa tipped for transfer away from Liverpool
Despite featuring only five times in the Premier League for Liverpool, fans of the Reds have quickly grown to love Chiesa, viewing him as a valuable member of the squad and a positive influence on the dressing room.
However, many pundits and commentators feel that the player could leave Anfield this summer, and if he does, Ladbrokes is tipping him to return to Italy.
AC Milan and Napoli, the latter of whom are also the favourites to sign Kevin De Bruyne this summer, are at the head of the betting. Juventus, another Italian side, round out the top three.
In fact, along with Juventus, AC Milan and Napoli, next up Chiesa's next club are completed by Champions League finalists Inter Milan and Roma, making it an all-Italy top five.
Tottenham could sign Federico Chiesa in Premier League transfer switch
As explained, it's all Italy at the head of the betting for Chiesa's next club, with the likes of Barcelona, Tottenham and Bayern Munich considered outsiders.
Despite being the Premier League club with the shortest odds of signing Chiesa, a transfer to Spurs is seen as unlikely for the player, with Ange Postecoglu's side instead going after Jack Grealish and leading the race to sign him.
Highlighting just how likely many feel it is that Chiesa returns to Italy is the fact that Lazio and Atalanta are also in the conversation, with odds of 20/1 and 25/1 respectively.
It could end up being a busy summer for Serie A clubs, with Juventus leading the race to sign Victor Osimhen this summer, potentially signing the player from fellow Italian side Napoli.
It's worth noting that Liverpool may be willing to sell Chiesa because of a busy summer they're planning to have themselves with regards to incomings.
The Reds are leading the race to sign Alexander Isak from Newcastle, and are also considered heavy favourites to sign Milos Kerkez from Bournemouth.
