
Fans backing against own team: Eagles supporters lead the way
Crystal Palace fans are the most pessimistic in the Premier League, according to new data from Ladbrokes Fanzone.
With the club preparing for a relegation scrap under Roy Hodgson, we can reveal the Eagles top the charts as far as the betting is concerned, with 37% of their fans backing against them this season.
Roy Hodgson has been appointed Crystal Palace manager until the end of the season.
Paddy McCarthy will take the role as his assistant manager, and Ray Lewington returns as first-team coach.
Dean Kiely remains in his position as goalkeeping coach.

Bournemouth supporters are next in the table, with 33% of Cherries fans putting money on their team to lose, while Southampton make up the podium spots with 31%.
Meanwhile, at the other end of the spectrum, Manchester United have the most optimistic and loyal supporters, with just 5% of their fanbase backing their team to lose this season.
Alex Apati of Ladbrokes said: “Crystal Palace are only heading in one direction at the moment, and there’s plenty of gloomy punters around south London who are, at least, cashing in on their side’s woes.”
